After 5 years of trying to get started again, we are excited to announce that our Teaching in China program is back!
We plan to form 1 team comprising 10 high-school students and 2 adult chaperones. Our teams will travel to the city of Zhuzhou(株洲), Hunan (湖南) Province to teach Chinese students American culture, literature, science, music, sports, etc.
Program dates: June 16 – June 27, 2025
Application
To apply to the 2025 Teaching-in-China program, please fill out the Application Form (due by February 7, 2025) and attend our mandatory information session, which will be held on February 9, 2025. This session will consist of an introduction to our Teaching in China program from past participants and interviews with applicants.
2025 Interest Meeting

Training
There will be 3–4 required training sessions/meetings to practice teaching, prepare participants for the trip, covering important topics such as logistics, cultural expectations, and team coordination.
Logistics
– Accommodation: Live in the school dorm; the second option is hotels
– Fees & Expenses:
- Registration (if accepted as a team member): $200 (non-refundable)
- Estimated total: $2800
– An estimated $2,000 for visa and travel costs, to be covered by the individual.
– $800 will be collected for chaperone compensation, lodging, food, sightseeing, and miscellaneous expenses in China. Actual costs may vary, and adjustments will be made for any
overpayments or underpayments
